About

This blog exists as a tool for our staff to offer a theological perspective of things that usually don’t find their way into Sunday morning sermons. The Christian life is full of questions that are answered in Church. Who is God? Why does my life have value? What does Christian community look like? At Wallen these questions are routinely answered  from the pages of the Bible and we are a better local church because of that. However, there are many questions that Christian’s wrestle with that are not as common to Church discourse. The type of questions that come up after two cups of coffee. What role does humor have for a Christian? How should other Christian traditions be viewed? When should children be allowed to have cell phones? These questions are an attempt to take the substance of faith and find consistent application to every facet of life. That is why this blog is here. In the spirit of Paul we aim to “take every thought captive to obey Christ” and that means we have to venture into the less familiar territory of life with our Christian faith and attempt to understand how to live for God.

The blog is written by Headwaters Church’s staff. We are a group of individuals with varied interests and common desire to help lead our Church to be more like Christ. Thanks for reading.
